Born and raised in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, Evana is of Dutch-Indonesian descent. Growing up surrounded by a vibrant, diverse community of immigrants and queer creatives, her exploration of her own sexuality as a queer woman ultimately led her to the world of burlesque. She was deeply drawn to the art form's inherent acceptance and its celebration of the very communities she called home. Captivated by Old Hollywood, she found her aesthetic roots in iconic trailblazers like Josephine Baker, Bettie Page, and Gypsy Rose Lee, alongside modern luminaries like Dita Von Teese. Yet, while her visual language is steeped in the past, Evana is fiercely committed to a progressive future, standing as a staunch advocate for the ethos: "vintage glamour, not vintage values."

On stage, Evana’s artistry is a masterful study in duality. Her performances are distinctly split into two captivating halves: one channeling the radiant, feather-adorned elegance of a classic-era showgirl, and the other plunging into the provocative, razor-sharp depths of dark, gothic fetishism.
